Homescreen Revamp

Released in 2016, updates through 2020

Summary

With the increase in Hotwire's customer base, and increase in the usage of products (hotel, car and air), the app requires a much needed update to it's landing experience.

Overall, provide the user with relevant information in the form of a modular homescreen.

Objective

Provide the user with modules based on their customer journey, their current trip status: pre-booking, midtrip or post-trip.

Homescreen redesign

Modularize the content.

Each module is independent and it can be re-ordered according to the customer journey. The content and data can be stored locally to allow for easy access if there is a loss of cell signal.

Full Length Homescreen

Ordering the modules as they would ideally be placed on the homescreen. Not every module would appear on the homescreen during a customer's journey. Logic has been thought through as to which modules appear when, and which links on each module would be displayed.

UI

Each module would need to fit together and show a consistent design. Below are examples of the UI for each module that would be presented on the homescreen.
