Problem
As a customer on the Hotwire app, I would like to see a consistent experience no matter where I choose to search or book. Android and iOS platforms have become distinct experiences that share a similar UI, but are still drastically different.
Summary
Implementing the Hotwire Design system across the app. If we share this design system across all platforms, we will ensure that our customers have a consistent experience no matter where they choose to search or book. As part of the design system effort, it also gives us an opportunity to modernize our UI elements, in effect updating the look and feel of the apps at the same time.
Componentizing the design elements and creating a shared library across engineering and design will significantly decrease UI related bugs and inconsistencies and improve future development efficiencies.
Objective
Provide a sleek, polished, modern experience for customers in the app so that they revisit the native apps as the premium booking experience.
